On 6 June 1859 the provincial government was invoiced by Auckland bookseller and stationer George Thomson Chapman (1824–1881), for “2 Sheets Antiquarian Drawing Paper, 3 Sheets Tinted Crayon Paper, 1 Dozen Drawing Pencils” at a total cost of 1 pound sterling.
